Ripple announced today that the Bhutan central bank, the Royal Monetary Authority (RMA), will use Ripple’s central bank digital currency solution to “pilot” a central bank digital currency (CBDC). Ripple’s CBDC solution uses a private version of the public, open-source XRP Ledger.
